Co-organizer, WW2A Mentoring Program [2015-16]
I am co organizing the new mentoring program with CSWomen after being awarded the Welcoming World to Amherst grant for the proposal titled "A Peer Mentoring Program for Fostering Intellectual Ties and Academic Success in Graduate Computer Science". The idea is to form a buddy triangle with two incoming students and one current student considering cultural diveristy and similarity in academic and career interests. To facilitate a smooth execution of this project, the mentors received cultural awareness and effective mentor training
Board Member, India Civic Council, Cisco [2012-14]
I have handled the planning and execution of the FY13 activities for the Kaikondrahalli Government school in Bangalore. An year in the School Adopt program (SAP) starts with desigining the month long summer camp aimed at the overall development of the kids followed by the school kit distribution, health and eye checkups and various activities in the occasion of independence day, republic day etc.
I have also organized and volunteered at other activities like Oxfam 100k trailwalker, blood donation camps, global hunger relief campaigns, rural school visits, annual fair for Cisco Connected Women, canine shelter visits, classroom construction, etc. As a recognition to this effort, I was elected as the youngest board member of Cisco's India Civic Council.
